I recieved calls from an unkown number i.e. 03283544223 today. The person introduced himself as Shahid Malik from Pak NGOs. He asked me to join Pak NGOs whatsapp channel by inserting a code when he shares a link while he insisted me to do so while he is on the phone call. He called thrice to confirm the code is recived and I joined the channel as he guides while remaining on call. I didnt use the code and instead asked to wait untill i confirm from the Pak NGOs administration. This looked phishing and scam so I thought that the forum should be informed about this immediately. You have, most probably, seen the message from our esteemed member (Qazi Kabir Hashmi) highlighting scam calls from an individual falsely claiming to represent Pak NGOs (we are really grateful to Mr Hashmi for alerting all the members).

The caller attempted to persuade the member to join a WhatsApp channel by sharing a code and requesting that it be entered while remaining on the phone.

This appears to be a fraudulent attempt to misuse the name of Pak NGOs. To protect yourself and your accounts, please note the following:

Pak NGOs has only one official phone number: 0333-8890823

If you receive a call, message, or WhatsApp communication from any other number claiming to represent Pak NGOs, please consider it a fake/fraudulent call/message.

We Do Not Charge for Membership

• Joining the Pak NGOs mailing list is completely free.
• Joining Pak NGOs WhatsApp groups or channels is completely free.
• We do not ask members to share verification codes, OTPs, passwords, or account credentials.

Payments and Fees

In cases where Pak NGOs charges a fee for a specific service, training, advertisement, or other professional service:

• Payments are requested only through legitimate and documented channels.
• Funds are transferred only to a bank account officially titled "Pak NGOs".
• We do not ask for payments to personal bank accounts, mobile wallets, or private individuals.

Stay Safe

Please:

• Do Not share OTPs, verification codes, or account access details with anyone.
• Do Not join groups, channels, or services based solely on a phone call.
• Do Not transfer funds without first verifying the request through our official contact channels.

If you receive a suspicious call, message, or payment request using the name of Pak NGOs, please report it to us immediately so that we can alert the community.
