Since gonvaled is working on making sure paisley and the testsuite work
with both couchdb 1.0.1 and couchdb 1.1.0, I've done some work on
extending the buildbot I had set up to build and test against different
couchdb versions.
The buildbot setup is here:
http://build.fluendo.com:8220/waterfall
By the way, I am in #paisley on freenode, so feel free to join over
there, the buildbot irc bot is there too.
I pushed a fix in master to let me know why couchdb startup is failing
if it does - I spent two hours just to figure out that the PATH needs to
include /bin as well because the couchdb scripts call basename :)
You can use the web interface to build branches from other github repo's
as well; I used that to test a branch of my couchdb-1.1.0-thomas
(branched off gonvaled's couchdb_1.1.0) and that branch does indeed work
against 1.1.0 and fails against 1.0.1
That's good news, it means we can use the buildbot to validate changes
and test the work to support both properly.
TODO:
- Sean, could you configure the main repo (through the admin button) to
do URL change notification to:
http://build01.bcn.fluendo.net:8220/change_hook/github?project=paisley
That way, I can configure it to get notified and always build
smcq/master on any change.
Right now, it is only receiving changes from my forked repo.
- gonvaled, I suggest you subscribe to this mailing list. Try to do a
test build through the web ui of your branch to see if that works.
Meanwhile, I'll also take a look on my 1.1.0 branch, on which I already
have some changes to parse version strings that contain letters (which
happens building from svn).
Happy hacking,
Thomas

I pushed gonvaled's changes for 1.1.0 support to smcq/master and the
buildbot automatically built and tested with the three builders.
There seems to be a spurious test failure in the listener test, I will
take a look at that later this week.
Thanks Daniel for the 1.1.0 work!
