The Secret, Oil on Linen, 36" x 30"

Couldn't take my eyes off the movement and style of this casually dressed girl when I spotted her in Covent Garden. I knew instantly that she would be the next figure I painted. She was so elegant that she might well have been wearing top deigner fasion but instead was in a simple Levi's Hoodie.

She walked with confidence and purpose but I felt that there was also something vulnerable about her and couldn't put my finger on it.

The question that arose in my mind was "What's her secret" . . . whatever it was it remained just that . . . she disappeared into the distance with her Secret.
