Why do paint contractors in knoxville pay below scale?

I beleive when they bid the jobs they do get the scale rate but they
pay you less so they can have the overhead,it is like this if you work
for someone or a company,that is all you are going to get is a pay
check.You have to bid the jobs and and be the man to make any money in
this field unless you work for someone like me,instead of a hourly
rate i would pay a set sum,if you got it done in 8 hrs or 2 hrs you
get the same money as long as the job is done and done right! That put
your money making ability in your hands and not to be held back from
making a living instead of just a pay check.Fair enough? I think so!
That is the way you would make everyone involved
happy,speedy,clean,quality work at a fair price for all.
