Max no of nodes on ESP32 supported

Hello,

I am new to ESP MESH and have few queries before using it.

I have gone through your Wiki and saw max. 4(8266), 10(ESP32) connections per AP.

Just wanted to know how many layers and total mesh size (no of nodes i.e. root node+ layer1+layer2) ? Of course it is restricted with memory and other resources, but just wanted to know if there is max. no  nodes which is tested with painless mesh library (root + layer1+layer etc.) ?
