My experience with pain killer addiction as you may or may not know is
vast to say the least. I would pop pills like they were pez candy. I'm
the only guy I know that would get a bad idea in the middle of a bad
idea.
At first it was all fun and great highs then I graduated to fun with
problems and eventually graduating to all problems. Pain killer
addiction is no joke.
I remember the time I rear ended a family of 4, high as a kite, and
the first thing I did was grab a handful of pills before the husband
of the car, I had just hit, could even get to my driver side window. I
vaguely remember fading in and out but I someone held it together
because I didn't want to go to jail.
The thing about any type of pain killer addiction is the detox is so
horrific physically that you're not just dealing with a mental
obsession your dealing with physical dependence and it is so bad and
you get so sick that if you had an ounce of self respect you'd take
your own life.
The truth is, I had no self respect due to my pain killer addiction
and but for the grace of god and the well meaning people I met in
treatment I would not be well today.
Kicking pain killer addiction of any type is no joke.
