Hi All,

On Monday July 9, Dr. Yarimar Carrasquillo, intramural investigator at NCCIH, will be giving a special seminar at 12pm (location likely Mellon 202).

Dr. Carrasquillo uses a mix of behavioral, physiological, and microscopy tools to investigate the amygdala in somatic and visceral pain.

I have a number of open slots to meet with Dr. Carrasquillo in the morning from 10-11:30am. We will also be going out to dinner on Tuesday night at 6pm if you are interested in joining.

All the best,
Ben

Hi All,

Next week on Tuesday 6/12 we will have Dr. Jolie Schafer giving a talk about CGRP and its role in migraine. Her presentation will start at 12 diving into more of the deeper understanding of the mechanisms and underlying connections. The presentation will be in Mellon 410, it is the large classroom at the top of the stairwell towards the football field side.

Light lunch and snacks will be served. Please feel free to share amongst your lab mates and departments.

Best,
Ben
