I work in a K-12 school and we use promethean boards. I'm looking for a workflow to uninstall a driver from our promethean software so i can deploy the update through a JSS policy (Self Service is not an option for this deployment). I can create smart groups and scope deployments based on version numbers...but i'm at a loss for how to run the app with out a prompt:
So Promethium isnt supporting old boards and their Beta driver they gave us last year doesnt work with build 2004 on our Dell 7050s. as soon as the teachers use the pens on the boards the computers bsod. Everything I have found is just the beta driver from last year and the fact that this is unsupported hardware now.
The ActivDriver is required for the computer to communicate with the ActivBoard. If you do not have the correct driver installed, the ActivPen will not work on the ActivBoard.
Features:
-Ability to enter more than one correct answer or variations of the same answers i.e., lower/upper case
Correct answer can automatically be sent to the -ActivExpression device if the wrong answer is typed in
Self-paced timer now defaults to 59:00; Teachers no longer need to remember to increase the timer
Windows stores instructions for graphical elements such as dialog boxes and windows in the User32.dll file. The User32.dll file is necessary to the operation of Windows. If this file is damaged, deleted, or removed, the system will no longer work correctly. If a program or a service accesses User32.dll incorrectly, the program or the service will not work correctly.
User32.dll errors are typically corrected by repairing the User32.dll file or by reinstalling the program, the hardware component, or the driver that is causing the error. If these procedures do not correct the User32.dll error, you can restore your computer to a condition before the error appeared by using the Windows System Restore feature.
Note If you cannot start Windows because of a User32.dll error, see the "Start your computer in safe mode and use System Restore" section.
If the User32.dll error message appeared during or after you installed a program, a hardware component, or a driver, uninstall the program, the hardware component, or the driver. Then restart Windows, and reinstall the program, the hardware component, or the driver.
In Windows Vista: For information about how to reinstall programs, hardware or drivers in Windows Vista, click Start, click Help and Support, and then click Troubleshooting. You can also search for "uninstall or change a program," for "install a program," or for "installing new hardware."
In Windows XP: For information about how to repair programs, hardware, or drivers in Windows XP, click Start, click Help and Support, and then click Fixing a problem. You can also search for "add a program" or for "using add hardware."
It is best to let Windows automatically install drivers for your hardware. You should avoid manually updating a driver unless Windows is unable to find a driver for one of your devices, and you were able to obtain a driver some other way. Or, you may have to manually update a driver if technical support personnel ask you to install drivers from a disc or from the device manufacturer's Web site. If you decide to manually update a driver, follow these steps:
Driver problems occur: Missing or damaged drivers or incompatible driver versions can result in calls to routines in User32.dll that are invalid. Invalid calls to routines in User32.dll result in User32.dll errors messages.

If you are scared of more packages pouring in from Debian jessie LTS, you can safely comment out the lines in /etc/apt/sources.lists.d/promethean.list again now that the smart board software has been installed. (You will not get security updates then anymore for packages that activdriver and activtools pulled in from Debian jessie LTS, though).
A virtual machine is a computer in a computer. Basically, you have a program (virtualbox) that will "simulate a new computer" in which you have to install ubuntu 16.04 32 bits and then the promethean drivers (easy since it's 32 bits), but it is necessary that the ordi (sic) [computer] be able to assume a virtual machine.
You need to install the Wacom driver software on your computer before the pen display will work. Depending on your device and operating system, you might need to install the DisplayLink driver software as well.

First, I'm unable to print from activinspire. Using File -> Print... only opens a window stating "No printers installed on this computer" even though printing worked with 2.18. Any idea what's wrong here or how to debug the problem?
The last time I needed this facility was when my OS was W8.1 and I remember the audio driver was Intel (R) Display Audio 6.16.0.3174. I'm now using W10 and my display adapter is using Intel (R) HD Graphics Famly 10.18.14.4282 which I think incorporates Display Audio 6.16.0.3174. My Sound Controllers under W10 include Windows High Definition Audio Service which I think is suppressing/overriding Intel Display Audio.
Thanks for this Stefan. It seems in Germany you are very lucky.. I've attached my equivalent screenshot. You'll see that your Audio-, Video- und Gamecontroller entry shows Intel (R) Display Audio and Realtek High Definition Audio. Mine contains (Microsoft) High Definition Audio Device and Realtek High Definition Audio. And that is what believe my problem is. The (MS) HD Audio Device prevents the Intel Display Audio driver from running and prevents my TV from appearing as a device for audio playback. It's the same for other TVs that I've tested - Panasonic and LG.
