It's not a question about class but e-mail I've got from my friend.
<Grace came to our apartment last Friday that is the 5th of September
to pay a visit.> quoted from my e-mail.
I roughly guess "pay a visit" means "make a move" or "come over"

Am I correct? And if you know this kind of expression, share it with
me please. It migth be a big help. Thanks.

Yes, to "pay someone a visit" simply means you visit them. This is a
common expression often used by native speakers. You are correct in
guessing it's meaning by saying "come over." Nice job pulling meaning
out of the context!
