I hate to say it, but 14 million people could be wrong. These could be average users that don't know enough about computers that are running these types of programs. I know you won't catch an expert on any of the security/malware removal forums running them.

Bitdefender is just doing it's job, albeit over-zealously. Glary requires access to certain parts of the computer system that Bitdefender's poorly written indiscriminant heuristics think it's protecting.

Personally I like how it treats the recycle bin, you more than one wipe at a time.

This tool is loved by current SSD/M.2 makers as its sole purpose seems to be to wear the drives out as fast as possible. Hey lets wipe all free space or overwrite everything in the recycle bin many times over as a good idea or drives that have limited writes.

Tries to steal Mail credentials from registry

I have never used Glary Utilities but apps that try to recover (not steal) lost or forgotten passwords are common. Stealing would indicate to take without users permission and upload it to a third party when this may just be one of the utilities that does exactly what the users asks like Windows version and activation code or ditto for various version of Office.

I installed Glary utilities and the bitdefender protection consider that : " The file C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\GU5SkipUAC is infected with Application.Deceptor.BCR. The threat has been successfully blocked, your device is safe."

Does anyone here have the WiseCare 365 Pro software installed on their PC and are having problems with Bitdefender blocking? Bitdefender indicates that WiseCare 365 comes with something named "Application.Deceptor.BLN". Can anyone help me with this please?

The samples are PUP/PUA, and you can add them to the exclusion list in Bitdefender.
