Enable compression

PageSpeed recommends "Enable and test gzip compression support on your web server."

Sorry to be a tech moron but I am. How do I do this?

I don't have my own server. My site is hosted by GoDaddy.

Can I ask them to do this?

How do I get access to the HTTP headers?
