I placed my website with Cloudflare, among other reasons for their Mirage tool, that compresses/resizes images.

Pagespeed Insights are still showing images as lacking optimization, even after Mirage is activated.

Cloudflare assures me that Mirage is working and that Pagespeed Insights is not able to capture the benefits of third party tools like Mirage.

This is a particularly difficult claim to verify. I did not find any good tool out there.

Is there anybody that is familiar with this?

Thanks

Mirage usually only activates when it's being requested by a mobile device.

I can't see an example of it conditionally loading the images (only loading when it gets within or near the viewport), however if you trial this using the google dev tools and switch to a mobile user agent on a slower network (like a 3g network) you will be able to see the smaller images being requested.

Also, you can add ?forcepreloadonly to the end of your URL to see the small images - http://www.soeezauto.ma/?forcepreloadonly
