Gzip / Deflate error... This ERROR is on www.google.com itself

hello folks,

I have got my score from page speed up to 95%. I have 2 yellow errors
left. Gzip is the biggest one. I am having basically the same
problem that GOOGLE itself is having. I am now using the beta
version. If U run page speed on www.google.com / http://74.125.95.132/
it shows gzip is not working. HOWEVER if U go to outside sources and
check it says it is working http://www.gidnetwork.com/tools/gzip-test.php
for example. There is a bit of a difference between google's settings
and mine... if www.domain.com is used both say compression is turned
on. If from the above URL one runs google.com compression is NOT
turned on. My site tests that gzip is turned on regardless if www is
used or not.

I am probably wrong but IMHO it appears that data is being compressed
and sent but page speed is reading what the browser shows after it has
been inflated by the browser. I have seen many posts on Gzip and
several have been resolved.

Man this GZIP has been a real issue for me to fix. Google still has
errors as reported above on custom search, analytics, map, some are
red errors some are green...

My MAIN problem in NOT getting GZIP to work appears after days of
working on this to be ISP related. Spent 3 days with the folks were I
have my website hosted at DreamHost.com. Just NICE excellent
support! From DreamHost itself, from ATT, and several other ISP my
gzip checks out OK! I only get the gzip error when checking from
Charter.net. I asked several friends to check this error out from
around the USA and the VAST majority check ok. 1 or 2 get basically
same error I am getting.

Just wanted to UPDATE!
