PageSpeed gives me wrong suggestion about my already optimize image(Just 16 KB size) for my website.

Here is link

As you can see it says

Optimize the following images to reduce their size by 12KiB (74% reduction).

When I download the optimize images the pixel size is very low. It reduce dimension from 1365 x 649 to 213 x 101.

That optimized image I can't event see with my eye.

I don't know what software you're using it to capture image, but to check the original dimension please open image in new tab, and you'll see the real dimension in browser title, but anyway, the short dimension different between me and you, is not big deal here, the thing is that the optimized image by pagespeed is not even view properly, it reduce so much pixel for desktop view. And it should return that kind of suggestion.

Sorry, I should explain better...

Google says that you are serving an image so big, and it's true.
The fit dimension is 650x309,5 but you are using an image 1365x649 -> Try to scale from 1365 to 650 with aspect ratio

Thanks @Jose Miguel Alemán, I got it.

But PageSpeed should optimize on that dimension, not in very tiny dimension(213 x 101). What's your thought about it.

And On same page I have one another image which have 680 x 535 dimension, which pagespeed not suggest to optimize.

I think PSI is wrong. Trust in me, resize image to 650px width (maintain aspect ratio).

Use PNG-8bit (no-alpha) before PNG-24

Resize your image and upload to tinypng.com and use that image.

We are using tinypng api in our cms instantly for images. but sometimes google suggests additional optimization, so we download the images from psi and upload them to the page to fix issues.

Were the images you were having trouble with jpg?

I save jpg as progressive encoding and upload to tinypng and they've worked great and no problem with PSI.

Yes they are progressive jpgs. But at the moment we are not yet serving scaled images for each viewport automaticly, so there might be some images with big dimensions. We are going to fix this soon, when our system generates and servers optimized sized images, regarding displaywidth of the images in the viewports based on bootstrap
