Huge diffrence between mobile and desktop score.

Hello Team,

Nice to e-meet you.

I think google page insight structure has changed. So far previously we have are checking our all site inside this google pagespeed insight and all site is having good score. From last  1 to 2 months when we check same site again then we can see drastic difference in mobile and desktop speed.

Can you please help us that how can we increase the speed? What parameter we need to take care.

Note: We are working on Wordpress platform.

Hello!

You're correct; there has been a significant back-end change, as the new PageSpeed Insights front-end web application as well as the new V5 API both are powered by Lighthouse (whereas previously they were independent tools). 

As a result, the score changes you're seeing are reflective of Lighthouse scores (see more information on the transition and how Lighthouse scores performance).

Ultimately, you'll be able to increase your site's speed by following the guidance presented in the PSI report (see 'opportunities' section(s)).
