Greetings Insights users,

We are rolling out a new release of the online Pagespeed Insights tool. Notable changes include:
  • Proper handling of client side (Javascript) redirects.
    • Redirects triggered by scripts will now be scored in "Avoid landing page redirects", where previously they were erroneously ignored.
    • This also fixes a bug where "Prioritize visible content" and "Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content" did not properly score pages preceded by a javascript redirect.
  • Localized versions of Insights will now send a "Accept-Language" header with the language of the UI.
Additionally, Insights now has a responsive mobile design - check it out on a mobile device for quick tests.

Hi Daniel!,
excellent job.

Like we have "tested", in my web was located "Avoid landing page redirects" correctly and  causes "Prioritize visible content" with a lot of js code that i have moved to their correct  position.

I have tested responsive APP and performs perfectly (Xperia S 720p).

Best regards and congratulations for the good job.

Miguel.

Hello, Daniel!

FYI: The PageSpeed Insights UI has a design bug. You can reproduce it this way:
  • Resize you browser window to 1,024 x 768 px.
  • Run a test.
  • Scroll down and everything is fine.
  • Now open one of the expandable sections, preferrably one below the top.
  • Scroll down again and you will see that the preview image (both mobile and desktop) will skip from the right to the left and cover the text area.
Regards, Thomas
