Good Morning,

I've been running Page Speed through Chrome and I decided to follow some of the directives provided when running the Page Speed but for whatever reason the tool doesn't appear to pick up the changes I made, for example:

The tool suggested that I load the google ads asynchronously and I implemented the asynchronous code but I continually get the following error:

The following resources are loaded synchronously. Load them asynchronously to reduce blocking of page rendering.

I've changed this to the following:

My site is gracessweetlife (dot) com. I have tried clearing the browser cache and the wordpress cache but I'm still getting the directive above.

Thank you for any assistance or insight you may provide.

Grace

Howdy, Grace.

When I load your site currently, I do not see that message - everything related to ads seems to be correct. Can you test again? Remember that the Insights results may be cached for 30 seconds or so. (We cache them on our end, so clearing the browser cache won't help there.)

Hi Dave

Thank you so much for replying so quickly. It appears that I'm only getting the message when I use Page Speed through Chrome browser, is there a way to clear it in Chrome? I've deleted the cache several times but it's not helping.

Oops forgot to ask, do you know how I can fix the Javascript and CSS errors that are popping up?

I also replied in another thread. I am not able see the async issue from your page above either.
What are the JS and CSS errors? Can you please be specific? Thanks.

Good Morning Libo,

I'm sorry for the duplicate thread, I'd forgotten I'd submitted in September, for whatever reason I'm not being notified of the responses. I am using Page Speed through the Google Chrome browser, could results vary from using the tool directly?

I am attaching a print screen of the result for the above ad code (which I receive when initiating Page Speed through Chrome but I'm also attaching the results (eliminate render-blocking Javascript and CSS) that I am receiving when using the tool directly from here - http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/.

Excuse my inexperience, is there a way to combine the two threads, or is it possible for me to delete one of them?

Thank you so much for your assistance I really appreciate any guidance you may provide because trying to find the answer to eliminate these errors is driving me crazy although I should be grateful because I'm learning.

Thanks for the screenshots. What version of the PageSpeed Insights extension are you using? I am still not able to reproduce it. I using the latest version 2.0.4.1.

For the render-blocking JS and CSS issues, those are harder. Did you follow the links there to see if you can resolve those issues?
