How often does Page2RSS check a page?

Hi,

how often does Page2RSS check pages?

Background: I tried to use Page2RSS to monitor the "homepage" of my
professor Diepenbrock (URL: http://www.math.uni-wuppertal.de/~diepenbr/).
I used Opera Mini on my cellphone to subscribe the feed; Opera Mini
fetches feeds each time I open the "Feeds" page. I have added the feed
on the 24th of October and some minutes ago (28the of October) I
recieved a new item from the feed. The entry was about a post-exam
review on the 27th.

With our current server utilization we mange to check pages once a day.

I try to watch a news-site, which hasnt rss.
So i added
http://www.wortfilter.de/news.html
to my GoogleReader.

I read many Feeds in GReader, but page2rss doesnt seem to work/update
in Greader :(

Updates from this feed often appear much tooo late, often 3-5 days
later, when I dont update the feed in G-Reader manually.

I've checked our server logs. I see the problem, but this is new.
Google feed fetcher didn't even attempt to download a lot of feeds for
a last 4 days. Looks like Google tries to behave and not to overload
servers when he fetches feeds. We've been running database maintenance
for almost a week now. Our servers were not as responsive as usual. We
are sorry for inconvenience.

We have to think, how to avoid that situation in the future.
