Could you please help us understand an unclear behavior of PageSpeed Tools. This is how we come across the problem:
1) analyzed the page, e.g:
http://www.floorcare.com/parts-and-accessories
2) went to the recommendations "Optimize the images": http://prntscr.com/emyto2
3) chose the image from the list, e.g.: http://www.floorcare.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/430x404/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/r/p/rpts200_-_star_cutter_closeup.jpg
The service recommends to optimize it on 3,9 КБ (18 %)
4) You recommend to use jpegoptim with --strip-all parameter on the page: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/OptimizeImages
http://prntscr.com/emyx07
5) installed jpegoptim 1.4.4:
http://prntscr.com/emyxgy
6) optimized the image on 4,09%:
http://prntscr.com/emyxyk
7) Analyze the page one more time, the problem still persists http://prntscr.com/emyylw
8) optimized one more time with jpegtran, the result of optimization is 6,3%
Let us know which applications and parameters PageSpeed Tools uses for optimization:
