New PageSpeed Service account features

Dear Webmasters,

Thank you for your continued use of Google PageSpeed Service.

We are writing to inform you of some new features added to help you get the most out of your PageSpeed Service account:

• Your project Console page at https://developers.google.com/console remains the main point of entry for managing PageSpeed Service for your sites. We recommend that you bookmark this page for easy reference. Clicking on “PageSpeed Service" in the left navigation panel will reveal additional panels with more information.
• The Configure Rewriters panel now has a Disable All Rewriters feature. If you face a critical problem with your site that you suspect is caused by PageSpeed rewriters, clicking the Disable All Rewriters button will skip rewriting for your web pages and serve them unchanged from your origin servers. In case of an emergency, we strongly recommend using this approach instead of modifying your DNS settings, as DNS changes can take upto 48 hours to propagate. When you’re ready to re-enable the service, click on the Enable Rewriters button.
• The Caching and Errors panel has an improved Flush Cache feature with more fine-grained control. You can now purge only the resources and HTML that match a specific URL wildcard pattern and force PageSpeed Service to fetch the latest content from your site.
• A new Troubleshooting panel contains answers to common issues along with recommended fixes and pointers to resources. In particular, the FAQ page provides answers to the most common questions about PageSpeed Service.
• We are continuing to add more rewriters that will speed up your site further. The latest list of rewriters can be found at the Rewriter Documentation page.
