Seems like the sore losers do not wish to be part of the USA any longer as you may have seen on the news. Although suspect these petitions are not signed with their serious intent to lose their citizenship and be a separate nation, they should be taken seriously. Interesting that for the two states I had looked at, a significant proportion of signatures was from people out of that state!

Looked at the Pennsylvania (two petitions) petitions to secede. The one that had 13,038 created by Kathleen B on November 11, 2012. On the top 100 signatures (as of 11/16/12 at 21:30 and ending with 13,038) there was 42 signatures actually from Pennsylvania, 37 signatures from people in other states, and 21 signatures from people that did not give state information.

On November 16 looked at the Texas petition to secede from USA. Taking the latest 100 signatures (ending with 112,605) you have 47 from actually Texas, 37 from other states, and 16 with no state info.

It seems that these people would abandon what many had fought for to make this nation great. If this wish to secede (rather than stay and work to get their ideals) then help them along. There is another petition to:

Strip the Citizenship from Everyone who Signed a Petition to Secede and Exile Them

Mr. President, please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.

Created: Nov 12, 2012

This petition can be signed at:

I do concur with other opinions to protest actions that are against personal beliefs, but also believe this petition shows that you should take your citizenship seriously even if you don't agree with the elected officials.
