Greetings

Third Saturday(Feb 18th) Sri Venkateswara Swami(Sri Balaji) Abhishekam is scheduled between 9.30 am onwards  . Venkateswara Suprabatham will begin at 9.00 am.

Beginning this third Saturday, we are planning on chanting Narasimha Ashtakam and small Narasimha mantraas before Sudarshana Ashtakam.  The significance of chanting Narasimha and Sudarshana mantraas together will wade off all the evil forces surrounding a person, family or a place. The prayer to the Lord is considered to be a KAVACHA. Kavacha mean Protection.

Hindu Temple of Lake County has Yoga Narasimha and also Sudarshana with 16 weapons together for us to worship. Since the Sudarshana Chakram is responsible for Papa Vinashanam and Yoga Narasimhar grants the realization of the Papam and its subsequent replacement by Punyam, the joint worship of Sudarashana-Narasimha Bhagavan is done.

For the benefit of new devotees,  we are sending the current list of mantras that we chant as a group during third Saturday Balaji Abhishekam.

Thanks to Shri. Krishnan for taking the lead in identifying and compiling various slokas for Hindu Temple of Lake County devotees. We encourage everyone’s participation as this gives an opportunity for us to chant as a group which is considered more powerful than individual prayers.

The slokams can also be found in http://prapatti.com/slokas/mp3/nrisimhaashtakam.mp3 in regional languages.
