Dear Devotees:

Please see attached is the draft of 2020 Poojas. These have to be finalized by religious committee and monthly calendar is released by the temple.
So always look for the temples calendar and monthly/weekly fliers.
Please enroll into temples data base so you get/receive the important announcements about emergency closures as well as monthly pooja calendar etc.

Dear Devotees of hindu Mandir of Lake County:

Namaskar and  Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year 2020.

Please see the attached annual sponsor ship for poojas for 2020.

By sponsoring the poojas can happen for the whole year. Priest will do the sankalpam chanting your & family member names, gothra, nakshatra etc and will pray for you during the start of pooja for the specific day/deity. If you are present during that preist will take sankalpam from you before start.

For example some of our regular devotees are sponsoring each year for a few deities like Monday Rudra abhishekam, Balaji abhishekam, Sankata hara chaturthi, Sukla Shashti, Iyappa pooja, Sai Baba pooja etc.

I give below the importance of giving as  given in Taitriya Upanishad and its meaning:

श्रया देयम-  śriyā deyam – give in abundance at least proportional to what you have. The Vedas donot fix the amount because possessions will vary from individual to individual. The śāstras, no doubt, ask us to give bhūdānam (land), svarṇadānam (gold), go-dānam (cow and other animals), but it also says that if you cannot afford it, offer atleast patram (leaf), puṣpam (flower) or toyam (water). The important thing is that one should not select the latter as the first choice. Give according to your capacity.
Saint ThiruValluvar also says: Giving is the ONLY way  in this world one can get Blessings.

Unlike in India, here temples are not bulit by Kings and run by Govt.  All of us have a social responsibility towards the maintenance of our temple. Collectively we can keep it running. We request that each and every family sponsor for atelast one pooja minimum for the whole year. Please encourage your friends also do sponsor and get the blessings.

Please also let me know if any of you have moved out of Lake county and do not want to receive any mails from this list, so I can unsubscribe your email id from this list.

Thank you ,

Rajagopalan - on behalf of temple volunteers. (attached the new year puspa alankar photo of Lord Sri Balaji)
