Dear Devotees:

Namaskarams.

Please see below some useful information that I can bring to your attention about the two forthcoming poojas at Hindu Mandir of Lake County.

VARALAKSHMI VRATAM: JULY 31st 7PM to 8 PM
Please see attached flyers from the Hind Mandir of Lake County.
We have Varalakshmi Vratam on July 31st conducted at the temple hall and also online by the temple Priests.
Due to the current situation, temple officers need to manage social distancing and will have limited spots to sit and perform the pooja.
So please hurry up and sign up as soon as possible so the temple can plan and arrange logistics for the event and you may also sign up for online pooja.
As per the flyer they attached will send you the link to do the pooja online.
Please avoid bringing kids and senior citizens to the temple on this day.
Please be at the temple 15 minutes before start. Since they plan to guide online at the same time, if you join late it is impossible to get you started.
As far as I come to know, only the person doing the pooja per family will be allowed in the hall due to capacity limitation.
For those signing up to do the pooja online keep these items ready:
Kalasam filled with some water, with coconut on top, New cloth adorned,
if you have the Laxmi face in silver, or Laxmi vigraham/doll, Ganesh photo/doll, Yellow thread, Small cup of water, spoon, Paper to wipe hand
Any prasadam, fruits, flowers, agarbatti/dhoop, deepam atchadha(uncooked white rice mixed with turmeric) etc.

UPAKARMA (Sacred Thread Renewal - at the Auditorium)

This is the annual renewal of Sacred thread and starting the Vedic studies again after break. (you may notice that this coincides with School reopening time).
Please sign up, read the flyer attached. Hope temple priests can do two batches with the first one starting at 7 am and the next one around 8 am.
I DON'T think Mandir is doing this online. Please sign up prior to Sunday.

As always, provide your support to the temple by donating/sponsoring for all poojas.

Please contact the temple if you have any questions. Temple is open daily evening 6-8:30 PM for worship.
