Thereis an old package Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 for OS X. A CLP-320 series driver that possibly could work is listed in the referenced article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support. However, the problem seems to be that the installer does not open under a more modern operating system, and/or that the driver is not properly recognised. One user in the discussion Install Samsung CLP-320 on macOS Monterey - Apple Community has suggested a workaround for a similar printer model, but that would not be a supported method.

The script ran without any errors. The printer is also shown in kubuntu's printer settings. In kubuntu's printer settings, I can see, that the printer is found: it shows the printers consumables correctly, e.g. that the cyan color is low as is also shown in the printers web-interface...

I have also tried to delete the printer in kubuntu printer settings and added it in the browser with the cups admin page: :631/admin(which I read about somewhere else in the internet)==> no difference

Interestingly the same driver works nicely on my other laptop, a 64-bit-machine (Acer aspire es1-731g-p1mc), same operating system and doing the same steps described above... Additionaly, I installed a virtualbox with windows7 as a guest system on the same samsung laptop (which prints the white page) and installed the printer drivers there... printing nicely...

So I decided to get support and to my greatest (!) horror I realized, that HP does support Samsung printers. I got to say, I have a very bad history with HP as I have had a HP printer previously (which convinced me to never, ever buy an HP printer again) and have had a lot of contact with the HP support for my laptop, where the HP support without my consent reinstalled bloatware, I had previously uninstalled and very experimentally changed settings in my registry, which led to even more failures than I had before. Oh yes, and the original problem - never solved. Not after I had them remote control my laptop for several hours and invested even more time in following their troubleshooting guidance. So one advice for everyone who is familiar with PCs: Never let the HP support remote control your device, do every step yourself or at least watch your screen while they are in remote and always be ready to cancel it. Okay, let's continue to the real problem.

So I have a Samsung CLP-325 now. The warning LED is constantly red. I can connect it to the PC via USB, the driver installation works fine (it's recognized as a CLP-320 series printer) and if I run the 'Samsung Printer Diagnostics' tool, it does not detect any errors (even though the printer seems to know that there are some?). There is paper in the tray (A4), but when I try to print a test page, nothing happens. Funnily in the driver install setup it asks you if you want to print a test page. If you do so and give feedback that it wasn't successful it pauses for some seconds as if it was doing something - and just prompts you to print a test page again.

I further wanted to test if I could connect it directly via LAN, so I broke open the network slot on the PC, but it doesn't seem to have a RJ45 plug? It's just empty behind it. Is there a way to connect it to the network or do they really sell laser printers (which are really complex machines!) without the really, really cheap addition for network integration to charge higher prices if you want to have it? I don't know that, but if it would be the case that would be ethically more than questionable.

And one of the other main problems: I'd try to get help from the HP support (even though I don't trust it), but when I enter the serial number in their form, they seem to not be able to trace it to the product. And as far as I could see, that's a dead end there - I couldn't see any options to contact the support without going through the serial number. If you know of a possibility to do so, please let me know
