I see there is a ‘set group origin’ option now too, so PADS is getting a bit more sophisticated about this.

Sorry I should have been more clear.  I'm working on a board which has radial component placements, but now that I have the parts all placed, I need to spin the group to an angle different than the default 90°.  We can spin a refdes, just hoping that I can spin a group of parts too.

Bret,

First create a Union of the components to rotate /RMB/Radial move/ Union properties/ edit the values.

Hope this would help.

Also, make sure you delete the traces connected to Union area on all layers includes inner layers prior to rotate these area or you will get a messy pcb.

Instead of spinning each refdes set the right reading to Angled.

Thanks Vinay, you got me closer.  Looks like v2004 doesn't have the set union origin.  So it just spins on a random component.  I'll play around with it a little bit.
