Ive been a Tony Buzan Licensed Instructor for several years. (one of the few TBLIs in the USA). I've used Mind Manager, Mind Genius, iMindMap, Mindomo, MindMasterand others, but Xmind is BY FAR my favorite and my 'go to' mind mapping software. It's simple but powerful. The BEST feature is that Xmind works similarly on Android as it does on MS Windows. Of all of the MindMapping software that I use, I recommend Xmind to my students and clients more than any other program. Keep up the good work!!

made it super easy to use the mindmap as a fullscreen presentation tool. As a speaker, it helped stay focused on topic under discussion and not get lost with lots of context switching and scope creep. I think I will try it more

Inviertele !!

This software has changed my business and my life! The first step in creating my new business was born because my coach suggested using Xmind. In doing my first map I realized that what I had been doing in my 30 year career had value for others and it showed me a path to using it that I had never realized was there. I have since created multiple programs, teach others and have a platform for reaching thousands in my target market. It all started from one mind map! I have continued to use Xmind to create classes, write books and build my business. It's an amazing tool!

I was not convinced about mindmapping representation before I discover XMind. Now, 99% of my work of Microsoft Visio has been migrated to XMind and my headhaches have disappeared. Thank you for your product that have upgraded the quality of my work (creation of training supports and videos)

Xmind has been part of my super powers for awhile now. What a tool! I use it in so many ways. Recently I did a fish one chart (cause and effect) and then turned it into a action-aspiration diagram. Wow.

Keep up the good work, the product evolved really well. I have been using the product for more than 10 years and I love it. In my current work, XMind was not an approved tool, I fought for it. My management and all my colleagues love it.

Mind Mapping is a wonderful discovery that revolutionized Florence's way of being and doing. Thanks to this method, she has become a liberated woman. She is more open-minded thanks to the questioning and reasoning of the method. "I don't do anything without mind mapping, I think and act with it - all my note taking: phone interview, email management, professional and personal plans, associative meetings with reports, planning training with CNFPT(France's National Centre for Territorial Civil Service), workshops with schools, monthly association meetings, developing educational programs, project management, preparing for the grape harvest, a birthday.... The list goes on. It is also very useful in individual coaching to prepare for exams and project management."

As a trainer, she provides training in mind mapping, by hand and using Xmind software, for companies, government agencies, associations, schools, universities, apprenticeship and continuing education centers as well as families with children/parent workshops. She runs sessions either face-to-face or remotely, workshops, conferences and seminars.

We are pleased to grant the Xmind Ambassador certificate to Florence, in recognition of her expertise and commitment to promoting Mind Mapping methodology to various audiences. Her dynamic training and innovative approaches are actively contributing to the dissemination of the benefits of this thought structuring technique.

I made a mind tree using XMind but need to make it more symmetrical so I can add pictures etc. I was referred to using LucidChart but I am unsure of how to convert a pdf to a mind map on here or if there is a possibility to pass my xmind to this platform. I do not want to lose all the time I spent on making it so please let me know if there are any shortcuts around this.

After upgrading Ubuntu to 19.04 I saw that installing XMind does not work out of the box anymore. When trying to install XMind 8 (more exactly xmind-8-update8-linux.zip) via the setup.sh included, some dependencies are not available in the recent version of Ubuntu.

Just for convenience: This is the list of all the already known workarounds required to get XMind running on recent versions of Ubuntu (a script carrying out the whole installation and all the fixes can be found in the Ubuntu Pastebin):

There is no risk to using the three manually installed missing dependency .deb packages from Ubuntu 18.10 in Ubuntu 19.04, even though the Ubuntu 18.10 packages will not be updated by the Software Updater.

XMind has a proprietary license, but the xmind snap package is free software. For now, there is no time limit for the trial version and you can get access to most the features of XMind 2020, but the trial version is only available for personal use as all the exported files will have a watermark of XMind trial mode.

How many people write out their thoughts and different variations for their online chess games? I keep an Excel spreadsheet to write out my ideas and continuations for each move. Anyone else do this, or do you do it all in your head?

I use the Notes tab to make comments, erasing them as I go and they become irrelevant. On the other hand, when working through books, I like to load the PGN into a GUI, put it into training mode where the next move is not visible and then use a notepad (pencil and paper) to make observations and ideas before I uncover the next move. I never considered using a spreadsheet. I might try that sometime.

THAT is amazing. I am installing XMind on arch linux RIGHT NOW. I think I'll be using it for many things. Thanks for pointing out this gem! Luckily I didn't have to make a PKGBUILD, it's in the AUR. (arch mumbo jumbo...)

I do on occasion, usually at a critical juncture when it's hard to decide which continuation is best, and you can't tell until 10 moves later if your move works or not. More often though I've been keeping notes not only to help me decide, but so when I go back over the game in 3 months, I'll remember what I was thinking, and what I saw, and what I didn't see.

Dynamic Assets that can increase in value with time.Get a job at xmindI have been working with Extramind for the past 4 years, and I would say that it is both satisfying and challenging in a good way. This is where I learned and grew so much personally and professionally. The healthy working environment is truly one of the best things I admire in this organization. All are very supportive of each other, they never hesitate to share their knowledge, time and effort to help and guide anyone. Employees are being heard by the management, and truly cared for. This is more than just a company; this is a family.

With a profound sense of gratitude and humility, I am honored to be recognized as the employee of the Month for the month of October 2023, especially while navigating the challenges of the graveyard shift from the confines of my home.

Working through the silent hours of the night demands resilience and dedication, and I want to acknowledge the exceptional team spirit that has made this recognition possible. The trust and support from my family Extramind and each one of my colleagues from my night shift have been my driving force.

(We can include 5th and 6th class students, but it is essential that parents/guardians attend the training with their child).

Parents of secondary school students are encouraged to attend the training, so you know how to support students with using the technology afterwards.

A Mind Map Learning Portal manages your learning and training from several sources holisticallySubscribe to Using Mind MapsGet Access to the Best Mind Mapping Tips, Tools, Techniques Resources and Opinions.

Learning PortalsLearning Portals are more prevalent in bigger organisations, where Internet Technology is used to provide employees with a central place to manage all the knowledge they need to perform their duties.

There are largely two types of Learning Portals. The first one is a general one that show employees what paths they have to follow for specific career paths or roles. It shows both the competencies that are required, as well as the resources needed to get those competencies.

Another approach is to provide a customised portal for the user, where specific courses, materials, etc. are tailored to the person's needs. Each person will then have a unique Learning Portal suited to their own requirements.

My approach is slightly different, in that I believe that you should be in control of your own learning. You should therefore set up your own learning portal based on your lifelong vision, or the specific subject that you want to learn.

To do this, I suggest you set up a Mind Map Learning PortalThe Mind Map Learning PortalThe Mind Map Learning Portal is not unlike the Web Learning Portal, except that it is tailor made to suit you and it is very easy to set up. It uses Mind Map software, instead of Web based technology and databases.

We recommend Xmind, as it has great features for a free product and can be upgraded to a premium version if you need more functionality. All the Mind Map Software packages allow you to add links to external resources, so you are not restricted to Xmind. You can use the software that suits your learning style and preferences.

Even though the Mind Map Learning Portal is easier to set up than a website, I think it works better than a website for a personalised learning portal, as you are in complete control and everything you need is right there on one Mind Map.Getting StartedDownload the Free Mind Map below and insert your subject in the centre. You can create a new Mind Map for each subject, or you can create a single workbook with Xmind with a new sheet for each subject. In this way, you will have all your Mind Maps in one easy to use Workbook.
