Hi, I recently started the Ezio collection on the ps4. I started with Assassins creed 2 and I just completed the Venice Carnival mission. I really wanted to know that do we need to complete all the side quests like codex pages and Assassin tombs to complete the story of the game?
The Codex is not only a description of new technologies and enhancements for your hidden blade, but also pieces of a larger mystery. Ezio must figure this mystery out, but the pages of the Codex are encoded. Leonardo, being a genius, can decode these codex pages with ease.
I recommended my sister to play the Assassin's Creed series. She's currently playing AC 2 and is in sequence 14 (or the one where we are supposed to put all the Codex pages and find Rodrigo) and the game says that she has 29/30 codex pages. The last codex page is nowhere to be seen in map We did the following things :
By the early 21st century, the Codex pages remained separated; many pages resided in the hands of private collectors, likely Templars, whilst some were on display in public museums, such as one in Florence's National Central Library.[13] Alan Rikkin had a copy of Altaïr's codex in his office at the Abstergo Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Madrid, Spain.[14]
The codex pages are not showing up in my map.
In my inventory, it is listed that I have 5 encrypted codex pages and 0 decrypted ones.
Leonardo whom's supposed to be in the Auditore's castle is nowhere to be found. The Codex wall's area isn't available and there's no codex page icon showing up in any city on the map (I visited all viewpoints; I have them all cleared 74/74). And still I have the screen title: Codex pages found: 25/30.
Nope, I don't have any DLC pack.
The cd that I have is the first release of Assassin's Creed.
More details on where I am in the game:
After Ezio becomes officially an assassin, Mario invites Leonardo to the Auditore's castle where he'd settle in the same room in which Ezio's sister and the Architect are. I gave him a page that he decrypted then he disappeared and I can't see him nor any codex page icon on the map.
The only mission (memory icon) available is the one in Mario's office where the codex wall is and I can't get there.
Every time I approach the room an audio engages where the Animus' team tell me that I have to possess all the codex pages and that I have a map that shows me the locations of all the codex pages.
The problem is, I spent three days cruising the cities and there's no sign of any left codex pages.
Now I'm starting to think that it's a glitch in the game.
Can I go back to previous missions and start all over from there?
Let's say the one where I have to kill the 9 lieutenants in Florence?
Listen guys, I know that it must have been over a year since you played this game and I really appreciate your help.
So here are screen caps, so you can better understand:
This is the door to the codex wall:
That tells me that bla bla bla, I need the codex pages to get in there.
These documents are usually in the same spot where you will find the set pieces. These codex pages are very easy to obtain and will grant you a nice reward from Hytham in exchange for bringing them back to him.
I'm currently on sequence 12 (Battle of Forli), so I already have the map, which is how I got the other codex pages. But I'm missing a couple of viewpoints, and I've looked around, they become available in sequence 13, so maybe that's where the last one is?
The pages are in the guarded banks around each town. You've probably noticed them as open doors with four guards in front. Riario's map of each location comes into your possession at the end of Sequence 11 and you can't progress to Sequence 14 without them. Sequence 12 and 13 are DLC and have nothing to do with the pages. The codex pages show up on the area map once you've synced all the viewpoints, but the viewpoints in Florence south of the river do not count, because it's a DLC area.
In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, there are plenty of secrets that players will come across in the game world, such as the Hidden Ones Bureau. Hytham, a member of the Hidden Ones, tasks the player to find six codex pages within each bureau if Eivor wants to learn their group's backstory.
