Re: Mongoose Kos Kruiser Serial Number

Hello, I am not a bmx expert, but was am an old bmx rider back in the early 80`s more of a road bike guy now. Anyway I picked this up at a garage sale for only $5. I think it is a mongoose 26 inch kos cruiser , but the serial numbers don`t mach up with I can find on the web. The serail number is on the bottom bracket in a straight line. E117782
I have read that a few of these were produced with gears , but very few and the only other one I have seen had the same exact component as this one. Also this frame has a factory made hole in the frame right behind the bottom bracket ,and others I have seen do not. I think the bars are stainless steel? What year is it and what is it`s value and is it even a mongoose. It rides great. Check out my picture with the following links.
I forgot to mention it has shimano dx pedals , Oakley 3 grips and araya rims. I am not wanting to sell or trade this because I have not signed up as a pro member and the site rules dictate that I must before exposing the rest of the members to fraud or misrepresentaition. Paying the 20.oo to become a pro member lessens the likelyhood that I am a previously banned member looking to steal money.
