Greetings wee ones. Thinking ahead to the Gathering of our Green
Tribe this Saturday.

'Twould be nice to accumulate together as we had planned to do last
year in Conway's Pub on Parnell Street but, alas, it has still not
reopened.

We could gather next door at the Parnell Mooney (again, as we did last
year). It worked for us then, with a few exceptions. Top of
O'Connell is a good area to begin the shenanigans. But, if anyone has
other suggestions for a gathering place, speak ye up! We'd of course
like to avoid televisions & music as we are our own entertainment.

What thinkest ye, my little Leprechaun chancers?

How about the hop house? They don't seem to care about shenanigans in
there... in the bar part?

Also, what about the BODIES EXHIBIT???... after a pint or two? before
we lose our inhibitions?

Genius suggestion McClifton! I saw this in london and would lvoe to
see it again. Only problem is, it's 20 yoyo to get in. If I were to
part with 20 smackers to get in, I'd want to actually spend some time
looking at in rather than just having leprechaun capers. Oh lordy,
though, I can just see us in there, I'd think it was MADE for us wee
folk....

ps who's bringin the spuds this year? I'm happy to do so, but need to
know if ye have any special requirements. You know, should they be
Russets, or Golden Wonders, or Kerr's Pinks or what? I know what a
discriminating lot ye are!

I was suggesting the HOP HOUSE, and maybe a trip to the bodies thing
after en route....

the hop house is a korean joint, i think, serving sushi and stuff,
with a bar in one door and a restaurant in the other. It's top of
o'connell, turn right and right there in front of you. third building
in.

Up to you... they have pitchers for a tenner..... good with the green
food colouring... for authentic canadian paddy stuff...

:-)

I'm gonna guess with the controversy around this show the security
there will be taking no risks on a large crowd of leprechauns that
won't show up on the CCTV there...

Fiddles - methinks we have too many Leprechauns for you to supply all the potatoes.  Every Leprechaun should contribute what the can to the day/night, seems best.

Clif-tone - Don't know about Hop House but we can try it if everyone wants.  There's always the other place if it fails.  Also, I agree with Fiddles that Bodies would suck our money & time dry, although it is an awesome thing to behold.  We have better things to invent and conquer.  Although I'd love to put a beard on one of them bodies, maybe a wee red merkin or some such.

PaddyPaul - to heck with security!  Sure, we need to respect 'em and all but trying to ride that line is the sheer fun of it.  Maybe we'll be able to get into that Czech bar this time...

I don't care where we meet, it was the closest bar I could think of....

It has pitchers... less old men... and sushi... but that's just my tastes...

I'll drink Guinness anywhere....

A) Parnell Mooney
B) Hop House
C) Gresham Hotel
D) Fibber Magees

Vote?

Okay the Hop House it is.  Some of us went on a mission yesterday and scouted it out.  It's perfect for our Green Gathering on Saturday (1pm!).

Well done Leprechaun McClifton, the Hop House is a great choice! After all, it's a little known fact, a sort of insider-thing, that sushi is actually the little people's fave food. And where better to start hopping up and down doing our little leprechaun dance than the Hop House. (by the way, a "Hoppin' Keen" is old travelers slang for a dance hall. so there!)

See ye all there! Let's get some lubrication in and then take the city be storm. Faith and begorrah!!

They wont care if we dance. I've been to throwdowns there before,
while they do have a restaurant attached, they love the entertainment
of shenanigans. Should be good!!
