After the new seasonal patch I've tested recoils on defense side both in shooting range and actual matches. And I personally feel the vector now actually has the highest recoil out of all the defender's main automatic weapons(even including smg11). When I tested it in the shooting range, for a 10m target, the first 10 bullets can be controlled inside the innermost circle, and after that it's just massive up and right bounces and bullets flying everywhere. I've been running flash hider and muzzle break, and it seems that flash is slightly better, but still not as ideal as other high fire-rate weapons like roni, alibi's Mx4, or smg11. I really want to master the vector in this season, especially goyo's, since he seems to be the meta op for this season. I want to know you guys' feelings towards this gun and how you think is the best attachment/ recoil control method for it.
Few days ago I asked in the sub some tips for sensitivity on console. I ran 50/33/25 (H/V/ads) for a while with a large right thumbstick. My problem is that I felt my recoil control was sub-par compared with my game knowledge and decision making.
So I jumped into TH solo on hard and started trying lower sensitivities and all seemed cluncky and slow for me, and although my target acquisition improved slightly, my recoil control was going worse. In order to gain significant recoil control I had to reduce the sensitivity to ridicously low levels, in detriment of fast reactions.
What I understood then was that I couldn't control the recoil because it wasn't enough with slight stick movements due to the low sens, so what I did was increasing it instead. I tried 60/60/25. This is slightly increased horizontal and a huge vertical increase. What I found was that I could control the recoil even for hard kicking weapons at long ranges, like Ash's M4.
So my 2 cents when looking for the best sens for you is: decrease H/V if you need better target acquisition and increase it if you need better reaction time. Increase ads if you need better recoil control or reduce it if you tend to overcompensate.
