I'm so delighted that I have paddled at least once in NS every month this year!

Jan 23,  NW Arm (easy choice when most lakes are frozen)

Feb 11, NW Arm

March 14,  Herbert River, with Dennis and Dusan, adequate water level this spring

April 7,  Coxs Lake, Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Wilderness Area,  campsite cleanup

May 30,  NW Arm

June 4,  Eel Pond, on the way to Squints Lake 

July 5, Jeddore Harbour, work party on portage from Jeddore Harbour to Salmon River Lake

Aug 12-18,  Bras d'Or Lake, St Peter's Canal, St. Peter's Bay, during the wonderful 2024 Big Canoe Brigade Pitu'paq event

Sept 1, Miller Lake, Fall River 

Oct 20, Card Lake, cranberry season, astonishingly low water level

Nov 2,  Long Lake, Mt Uniacke, exploring new and old campsites in the Devil's Jaw Wilderness Area 

Dec 18,  NW Arm (calm glassy water, shared with a flock of geese)
