Not sure how much use this paddling group email gets these days but thought I would give it a try.

For Sale – 17 foot Old Town Penobscot Canoe - Asking $1,650

The Old Town Penobscot 17 is an excellent tripping and lake canoe for both tandem and solo paddling. This canoe is about 30 years old and is in excellent condition. It is constructed of Royalex (no longer available) and weighs roughly 65 lbs versus a new Penobscot 174 in polyethylene which Old Town shows as weighing 90 lbs.

I am selling this canoe for a friend. The canoe has seen minimal use and has not been out of the shed for at least 10 years since my friend’s husband passed away. The canoe has always been stored inside and was only ever use for day paddles on lakes.
