Liscombe river Rd. CLOSED

Hey Folks, I was out on a bicycle tour today and we tried to ride east down thd Liscombe river rd., from New Chester and was quite surprised to find the road was closed as a bridge was out.  The barrier leads me to believe the bridge is permanently out.  Can anybody confirm this?  This should be known to paddlers as this route is/was a popular shuttle route for a 2/3 day trip on the liscombe.  Itrs a loong way around now!  What do we do!

Hello Dave (and others),

   we are aware of the wash-out at West River Lake. It likely happened
during Hurricane Fiona in September 2022. According to an employee of
DNR (Stillwater office) the culvert or bridge will eventually be
replaced, but there is no timeline. Nor a budget. Will be in the area
shortly and will inquire again...
