Folks,

     a friend/relative is disposing of her late husband's older 1 : 50
000 topo maps of the middle portion of the N S mainland. They are in
excellent condition and nicely folded. Let me know which ones you would
like to have. First come, first served. Pick-up at my place in Halifax
required. If no one wants them, they will end up in my recycle bin, as I
already have these sheets. And that would be a shame.

New Germany (Edition 3), Chester (2), Bass River (3), Musquodoboit
Harbour (4), Larrys River (3), Tangier (4), Windsor (3), Halifax (5).

I would take them as mine got chewed by mice.  I am away until Feb 2oth though.  So I guess if no-one takes them I would get them in Feb.  Don't put them in recycling

Christopher

Hey there all -
I hear that Christopher wants them all - but am wondering if I could take one off your hands there Dusan - I just don’t know which one exactly!

My close friend, paddling buddy, and work colleague, whom some of you may know - Brian Braganza - is celebrating his 60th next week.  Your email prompted a thought about framing a topo map of his home in the Auburndale/Newcombville area - west northwest of Bridgewater on the 325 Keji road.

It’s hard to see via online pics which too map that might be - so if (Christopher) you can part with one map, and (Dusan/anyone) know which map I might need, I would be most grateful!!

Best to all!
Nick

good afternoon Nick, I apologize for the late timing of this response, I know brian from doing some training at the Tamaru center. Without reservation I say brian has been the best trainer/facilitator I have ever taken training with. I remember a few years ago, pre-pandemic, brian doing some training with men down at Mockingjay. He asked me to go down to do some leave no fire stuff with the group. Maybe I met you then? Sorry for not remembering the name of the other people with brian. I really liked what he and the other people were doing, including of course with the program participants were doing. I was lucky enough to get to attend a kind of graduation ceremony they did in Spryfield at the library when when they were done the programming. Are you the guy that was working with brian and all that. Anyways long winded email, please pass on my happy birthday Wishes to brian.

also, unplugged for canoe crack in Nova Scotia and the big canoes, we have 226 footers with six seats each, they could be a good fit for your program, type of counselling I believe as well. I’m lucky enough to be in a position to offer where we could do the training to qualify others to take the boats out. CKNS has a minimum level of training requirement for people to do that. I can help out by towing the boats to the places you might want to do this training.

I know not everyone paddles on days like today, although I do sometimes, but become spring could the CKS boats be used by you. John nisbet
