Vison & Mission Revamp Feedback

Hello Diamonds!

The NNB (National NRHH Board) have been working hard to revamp the Vision and Mission Statements of NRHH. We have a few versions that we are discussing and would like your feedback! Below are the different statements currently on the table. Please let me know what you/your chapter think about the statements by noon on Sunday, May 8th. If you have suggested changes, please send those to me as well. 

Vision Statement

NRHH strives to empower exemplary residential student leaders within the areas of leadership development, student success, and a lifetime commitment to the values of the honorary.

Mission Statement

NRHH promotes the highest standards of service and recognition through leadership development, resource sharing, and programming within residential, campus, and local communities through affiliated chapters.

Or

NRHH promotes the highest standards of leadership, service, and recognition within the residential and surrounding communities through membership/leadership development at local affiliated chapters.

MISSION STATEMENT | As an organization, NACURH empowers, motivates, and equips residence hall leaders by providing them with skills and resources in order for them to excel and positively impact their campus communities.

Happy Monday everyone!

The NNB has been continuing our work on the Vision and Mission statements. We have created a new vision statement that we are comfortable moving forward with. Please read over it below and let me know if there is anything you feel is missing from the vision. 

Vision:

NRHH strives to unite a community of distinguished members who embody the values through a lifelong commitment to the honorary.

The NNB is still working on crafting an accurate, yet meaningful, mission statement. Each region has been asked to craft a new or revised statement and bring to our next NNB meeting on May 22nd. I need your help in crafting a statement that encompasses our mission and current practices of the organization. Below is the statement that is on the table.

Mission:

NRHH promotes the highest standards of service and recognition within the residential and surrounding communities through leadership development at local affiliated chapters.

Here are a few things discussed by the NNB in trying to formulate the best mission statement:

-Should the Mission statement focus on the organization/values as a whole, or on the mission of individual members/chapters?

-Keep in mind that we already have a values statement that outlines our values of service and recognition.

-Is "promotes" the best verb?

-How should leadership development fit into the statement?

Please send me feedback on the mission statement and/or a revised version by Saturday, May 21st. We will also be discussing this at our next NRHH Chat (Monday, May 16th).
