Subject: PACS: please forward "Save our Students Campaign" to your classroom parents

Dear Room Parents,

Would you please help to distribute the following message to parents in your class? Thanks so much!

Monica

============================================================================

Dear PACS Parents,

In response to parents' feedback, I would like to express regret on utilizing our school email list to communicate on issues PACS normally stays neutral on.  PACS does have a policy of not being involved or promoting any political and religious agenda.  However, our community is hurting, and we have not been in what I would call a “Normal Situation” in the past few months. With the summer break quickly approaching, I thought email communication is probably the most effective method to get the word out.

The PACS Board cares deeply for the well being of our students and our community, but our main focus is on our core mission of school operations; furthermore, we do not have the resources nor the manpower to engage in issues of this magnitude.  With that said, we would still like to reach out to parents who may want to have their voices heard. If there is enough interest among our parents, we can consider forming a parents group in our school. The ongoing 6-week Parent Education Workshop is an attempt to build community within PACS.

Club USA is an organization run by two of our long time board members, Andrew Young (楊恩助) and Randolph Tsien (錢天嘯), and this organization is completely independent of and unrelated to PACS. You are welcome to browse their website (http://clubusa.org/), or chat with Andrew and Randolph to exchange ideas. PACS continues to adhere to our policy and will not endorse any particular organization, but may assist in passing along urgent information for your discrete consideration.

As for the email campaign, if you do not feel comfortable sharing personal data with Club USA, you may also consider contacting PAUSD board members directly. The important thing is to get our voices heard. Thank you so much for your understanding, and support for our children. We are in this together!

Best Regards,

Monica
PACS Principal
