Hi PacMasters!

We had a great trial meeting today at the Lucky Lab Restaurant on SE Hawthrone between 9th and 10th.  At the close of the meeting, we decided to go ahead and make a permanent move to the Lucky Lab.  We enjoyed our time at East Bank Saloon, but there were a few features of the room that prompted us to continue looking for a new spot.  The Lucky Lab has a good space, a quiet room, and good food, although it is not a requirement to buy food from them.

We will always keep an eye out on the County conference rooms to see if there will ever be a time that we can relocate back to the County building to accommodate our members who are County employees.  In the meantime, the Lucky Lab is just a couple blocks down Hawthorne from the County building and we'd love to have all our members back, even if your lunch schedule requires that you arrive a few minutes after the meeting start time and have to leave a few minutes early.

Upcoming events:

September: Humorous Speech and Table Topics Club Competition
October: Recruitment Event

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Lucky Lab!  Every Tuesday from 12:05 to 1pm.

Thanks,
Amy Sandoz

As a note I did call the East Bank Saloon and cancel this months use of their facilities.  They were very nice and told us if we want to come back, just let them know.  We are now canceled for Tuesdays there.

See you at the Lucky Lab, great sandwiches and bento for sure, not to mention beer.  It is self serve for the most part.  Here’s a link to their location.

See you next Tuesday.

Amy,

Thanks for the message and status update.

The Lucky Lab should work for me.

I do have finish audits and corrections to taxpayer accounts that I supervise.  Given this work requirement, I hope to attend on the 9-21-2010, but will have to wait to see.

Just a quick message out to everyone we met at Lucky Lab today, seems to be working fine.

Myself and Chris Amistadi worked on our Humorous speech, I think we may need you back Rick (LOL), in preparation for the Humour Speech Competition.

Next week meeting we are meeting at what is now our regular meeting place of the Lucky Lab at about 9th and Hawthorne, from 12:05-1pm, as we will be doing every Tuesday, if someone can put that on our website, that would be great.

Upcoming:

September: Humorous Speech and Table Topics Club Competition
October: Recruitment Event

If there are any other announcements, please put them up, like our Schedule.  Thanks,

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Lucky Lab!  Every Tuesday from 12:05 to 1pm.

Yes, I need help with my Humor speech. If someone could bring Humor to the next meeting, I’ll add it to my speech.

I do like the Lucky Lab location. I had a chicken bento, I ordered at the counter and they bring it out to you. So you don’t have to tip the full-service amount and there are no expectations that you even order food to begin with. The Chicken Bento with brown rice and spicy thai peanut sauce was only $5.95. I didn’t thai one on (this is why I need humor help), but it was quite enjoyable.

I’ll see everyone at Lucky Lab next week,

Chris

Tory's the one you really need back- he's the humorous speech champ. Maybe if you get him a job at the lucky lab he'll make it...(sound good, Tory? They don't have martinis, but maybe you'll become a beer fan.)

I head off on my tour starting Sunday. Just bought a 40-foot bus/RV to make the trip in. It's gonna be an adventure!

have a great year- maybe see y'all in the summer.

I second the Tory strategy.  Make the offer more enticing by suggesting that the Lucky Lab will let Tory wear all his cool hats as part of the job...

He YOOOO!!  A compliment from Rick Huddle, that storytellin’, guitar strumming, pirate strutting super star?!  I am so flattered!  Rick, your show on the 29th was wonderful, and I wish you a long and happy season of broken legs and adventures in the “Huddle Bus” (yes, you may use that name for your RV).  Oh, and since we’re here, quick reminder that my play’s last weekend is this weekend, for which we are getting fantastic audience response.  Hope to make it back to Toasties SOMEday!
