[Pacmasters Toastmasters]

Hello Pacmasters! :-)

 

Many of you were at our meeting today and heard this in person, but for those that didn't make it I wanted to pass on the news that we have accomplished the membership and goals necessary for recognition as a President's Distinguished Club this year!!  This is a huge accomplishment, as it represents the successful completion of 9 out of the 10 goals of the Distinguished Club program, as well as a net gain of 5 members from the beginning of the year.  Thanks to Kristi's excellent leadership and last minute recruitment of a few new members (Welcome to Wanda & Tyson!), we met our membership goal just in the nick of time!

 

To put this in perspective -- this is the first time that Pacmasters has attained recognition as Distinguished (5-6 goals), Select Distinguished (7-8 goals), or President's Distinguished (9-10 goals) since the 2002-2003 Toastmasters year, which was my first year with the group.  This success is attibutable to ALL members, as it required new membership, educational achievements, officer training, and accurate & timely reporting to Toastmasters International.  I hope we are able to continue our momentum into the new Toastmasters year, and I'm positive that our new officers will keep us energized and goal oriented!
