How can I tell packer which IP should it connect to ?

Hello.

I'm using the tool for the first time.

I managed to spin up a Debian 10 instance along with it's preseed file on my Windows 10 Hyper-V hypervisor.

I'm able to SSH manually to my instance, however the packer tool is stuck on "Waiting for SSH to become available..."

Is there something to setup in order for the tool to know which IP it should try to connect to ?

Hello there!

You can use these ssh fields https://www.packer.io/docs/builders/virtualbox/iso/#optional-ssh-fields to set the necessary ssh config. 

This is the virtualbox-iso docs but it uses the same config. I will update the Hyper-V docs with them. 

In this case you can use ssh_host to set the IP.  Let me know if this works for you!
