How can you set the vApp options such as Name, Version, Vendor, etc in a vmware VM? They are not are in in the vmdk or vmx file. I can set them manually from within the vSphere client but I want to set them as part of a programatic build process. I use ofttool to convert the vmx file to an ova and add the eula but ovftool does not have options for setting vApp properties that I have found.

Thank you.

The only way this might be possible is trough the vsphere post-processor, check the docs for ofvtool. To have real support for this a vCloud/vSphere/vCenter builder/post-processor would be needed.
