VNC handshaking error in OSX

I am currently testing Packer v0.12.0 on MAC and attempting to build to a ESXi 6.5 server running on a local Fusion.

I am getting the following error:

vmware-iso: Error handshaking with VNC: no suitable auth schemes found. server supported:

Attached is the log file and the JSON file.

I have enable the ports for the VNC on the ESXi server.

Please help as I am pulling my hair out here!

Try adding "vnc_disable_password": true

That fixed the issue, I don't know how I didn't see this option.

What i use:

in template.json

            "vnc_port_min": "5900",

            "vnc_port_max": "5911",

            "vnc_bind_address": "0.0.0.0",

            "vnc_disable_password": "true”,

in ESX, enable ssh, enable gdbserver this include ports that span over vnc

and then ssh and run

esxcli system settings advanced set -o /Net/GuestIPHack -i 1
