Hi All,

We just released the 2nd release candidate for packer 1.0. There's a couple good changes in this one, and again it would be very useful if you could help test them!


and get it hot off the gox here: https://releases.hashicorp.com/packer/1.0.0-rc2/

Please open a new issue on github, or reply to me directly (to minimize mailing list spam) if you notice any issue.

Hi Matt,

How comes the new version is reporting 1.1.0? I thought I'd messed something up building a testing version on my system.

1.0 has already branched off https://github.com/mitchellh/packer/tree/v1.0

So masters next build is 1.1

Whoops, I think I overwrote the version when I was merging from master. I'll get this fixed up tomorrow. Tracking here: https://github.com/mitchellh/packer/issues/4740
