Keep AWS EC2 instance on after ami build completed

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was a feature to keep the AWS EC2 instance open after my ansible provisioner has finished installing.  I am trying to run a command on the instance and would like to keep the EC2 instance alive, while still creating the AMI.

The short answer is no, no such option.
