hello all

has anyone have issues where you set boot_command for parallels and it doesn't do anything.  I need help, I tried different GitHub repositories and nothing is working.

No, it should work unless it recently broke. Have you launched the GUI and verified that you can launch a VM manually?

Can you add the logs when running a packer build with env var PACKER_LOG=1.

i have tested 1.4.2, 1.41 1.4.0  is all the same, and yes I have launched the GUI and verify the GUI works manually, but the boot_command doesn't do anything.

I downgraded to 1.3.5 just to see if it helps or not.  I tried everything i can think of.

I have MacOS 10.14.5 Mojave, and the Parallels is 14 ( Pro )

I was told that the issue is not directive in packer or something but relates timing, not sure what that means.

To summarize you have to have Parallels Virtualization SDK installed. Wounder if there is any exception that we could catch or some sanity check we should do to verify that it's installed correctly.
