Hi everyone,

I've searched high and low trying to get to the bottom of this issue with the hyperv-iso builder. At one point I had a working build process with hyperv, a few days ago I had to launch my windows instance to make some new images and I'm running into this error. It seems to be during the mount of Microsoft Integration Services DVD.

Packer Version 1.1.3
I've installed, upgraded, uninstalled, reinstalled hyperv and all of the powershell cmdlets.
Tried the build on windows 10, windows server 2016 and windows server 2012 r2 to no avail.

All commands are run through an Admin powershell shell. Here is a link to the GIST of my packer log: https://gist.github.com/ndobbs/54b1a080037b102f3056250184a1a40f

Any insight into the error would be greatly appreciated.

I moved my build repo off of a network drive locally on the box, build works now. Found this github issue: https://github.com/hashicorp/packer/pull/5761

The issue seems related, but now my build is working. I'm going to keep this here in case someone runs into it in the future before the next release.
