Dear Pack 674 Families,
I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to follow up on the email Farid sent a few weeks ago regarding volunteer leadership for Pack 674. As you may know, the Pack is currently in a period of transition, and we haven’t yet had parents step forward to fill some of the key volunteer roles needed to keep things running smoothly.
Because of that, I’d like to bring everyone together for a parent meeting to talk about the future of Pack 674 and how we can work together to make the coming year a success.
Please mark your calendars for:
Monday, September 7th
6:00 PM
Santa Cruz Elks Lodge
This is an important meeting, and we’re asking all Pack 674 families to attend. We want to hear from you about what you need from the Pack, what kinds of activities and experiences you’d like to see this year, and—most importantly—what we can do together to make those things happen.
We’ll also talk through the volunteer roles that help keep a Pack running, what’s involved with each position, and the training and support available to make volunteering manageable and successful. You don’t have to be a Scouting expert, and volunteering doesn’t necessarily mean taking on a huge commitment. There are lots of ways for families to contribute, and we’ll work together to find roles that fit people’s interests and availability.
The District and Council are also here to help. We can provide training, resources, program ideas, and hands-on support as Pack 674 rebuilds its leadership team and gets ready for the year ahead.
Our goal is simple: we’d love to see Pack 674 continue and thrive. There’s a lot of potential here, and with a few families willing to pitch in, I’m confident we can get things moving in the right direction.
If we aren’t able to identify enough volunteers to operate the Pack, we’ll also discuss other options for families, including transferring to another local unit. But our hope is that we can come together, find a path forward, and keep the Pack going!
Thank you, as always, for supporting your Scouts. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on September 7th!
