Parents,
SCOUT SUNDAY is a THANK YOU to our Charter Organization. Without St. John's Episcopal Church the Troop and the Pack would not be able to exist. This celebration is meant to show our appreciation for all they have done to keep scouting, specifically IN OUR TOWN, active and alive! In our revived relationship we have held many successful events and meetings, and we are thankful for that. St. John's has also provided us a location to put our copious amount of camping equipment and has committed the help the Pack with their needs, too!
A SCOUT IS REVERENT! We have a large troop and collectively we practice many different religions. This is about a THANK YOU to our charter organization. I hope we can have a full turnout on Sunday. If you (or your scout) are not comfortable participating inside the church, there are other things you could help out with including: greeting people as they arrive outside, or helping to setup the gathering hall.
I look forward to seeing our smiling scouts on Sunday. It will be thanks enough to the congregation.
Yours in Scouting,
Sean
