Twin Lights District Pinewood Derby Update Please Read!

Congratulations to all pack 3 winners! 

                 I was informed by the council they changed the procedures with dropping off the Pinewood cars. The scouts are responsible to drop off their own cars on race day. Please do so 30 minutes before race time. The times are listed below. I apologize for this  inconvenience. Please come pick up your scout’s car at 23 Lovett Ave(garage).If you are unable to attend the race please contact me by this Wednesday! All cars have been registered and paid. Please see information attached below by the council.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE

YOUR RESPECTIVE RACE TIMES FOR SIGN IN

AND CHECK-IN PROCESSING

DOORS WILL OPEN AT 9:30 AM FOR EARLY CHECK-IN

RACE START TIMES WILL BE STAGGERED AND ARE ONLY APPROXIMATE

LION – 10:00 AM         TIGER – 10:30 AM    WOLF – 11:00 AM

BEAR – 11:30 PM     WEBELOS -12:00 PM      AOL – 12:30 PM

(Except for Lion start time, all times are approximate starts, depending on the status of prior race)

 

After the Arrow Of Light race is complete the Overall Twin Lights District race will be commence with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from all groups to determine fastest in the council.

All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners' cars will be impounded until the Monmouth Council Pinewood Derby. The date of the council race will be announced at the district pinewood derby. Before the cars are impounded the scouts will have an opportunity to add graphite to their cars, there will NOT be an opportunity to do so the day of the race.

Please remind the families they need to fill out a Media Release form before their child can participate.  This allows us to take photographs at the event and publicize the winners.
