Hi Wolf Parents,
On Saturday May 7 the Wolfs will have their den meeting at Sanborn County Park in Saratoga to focus on outdoors-related badge requirements, and it will include an approximately 1 mile roundtrip hike. We will meet at the Dyer House Visitor Center at 2:00pm for instruction and embark upon the hike at 2:30pm, estimating a 4pm return. As such there will not be a Wolf den meeting at the Don Callejon MPR on May 4.
Following the hike, there is an optional camp-out at the Sanborn campgrounds Saturday night. The camp-out is not a Boy Scouts affiliated event and famillies/non-scouts are welcome to join. Bring your outdoor games and we may organize a pitch-in cookout dinner as well. Follow the below link to make your campsite reservation if you are interested in joining the fun. A useful tip: the lower the campsite number, the less uphill walking.

The forecast for Sanborn is rain today. Rain is expected between 12:30 and 3:45 and possible through 7pm.
We plan on still meeting at 2:30pm for the hike and expect to get wet. Depending on conditions, the camp dinner may be possible after.
Several camp sites have been reserved, and the bold campers are welcome to keep plans to camp overnight.
Exercise your best judgement in what you want your scout to participate in. And, being rain gear!
